Ingy El Kady is a senior associate at Helmy, Hamza & Partners, Baker McKenzie Cairo. Her practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and corporate matters.
She is experienced in advising both buyers and sellers on local and cross-border M&A transactions. She has also advised clients on investment structures into Egypt.
Ingy has been practicing in Egypt since 2015.
She received her bachelor’s degree in law from Panthéon-Sorbonne University – Paris 1 in 2014 along with a bachelor’s degree in law in 2015 from Cairo University. Ingy completed a Master 1 in law – International Business law institute at Panthéon-Sorbonne University – Paris 1 in 2015.

Ingy has represented a number of corporations on their investments and divestments in Egypt, including acting for:
• The Sovereign Fund of Egypt in connection with the PIF- owned the Saudi Egyptian Investment Company (SEIC)’s investment in 4 leading Egyptian companies listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.
• EFG Hermes and its buy-now-pay-later (BNPL) fintech platform, valU for consumer finance S.A.E (valU), on the planned (i) acquisition by valU of a stake in a new Saudi consumer finance player, FAS Finance, and its joint venture arrangements with FAS Labs Holding and (ii) investment by members of Alhokair family in a minority stake in valU.
• A consortium of financial investors led by Amethis and included SPE AIF I (SPE Capital Partners) and European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), on the acquisition of a 95% stake of GlobalCorp- for Financial Services.
• Infinity Power Holding on the acquisition of various renewable energy sites in South Africa.
• Infinity Energy on the issuance of primary shares to the European Bank for Development and Reconstruction.
• Infinity Energy on its joint venture arrangements with Masdar, the Abu Dhabi renewable energy investment arm, and the establishment of their joint venture company “Infinity Power”.
• EFG Hermes on the acquisition of a stake in Option Travel, a transportation company in Egypt.
• Ekuity Holding, the Kuwait investment arm in Egypt on the acquisition of a minority stake in Alunile from Ezdehar, a private equity fund.
• Family Transport on the sale of primary and secondary shares in the company to Ezdehar.
