Charles is one of pioneer lawyers who advises and represents clients in the sports industry. Over the past 3 years, Charles has represented high profile clubs, agents and athletes before FIFA judicial bodies and the Court of Arbitration for Sport. On top of his expertise in sports law, Charles regularly acts in commercial litigation cases as well as arbitration cases under the ICC and CRCICA.
Charles’ expertise, mainly in doping matters, got him elected as one of 13 African members of the Continental Results Management Panel for Africa. He is in charge of hearing doping cases and rendering decisions.
Charles holds a bachelor's degree in law and a master's degree in commercial law from Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, a bachelor's degree in law from Cairo University and a master's degree in international sports law from Université d’Aix-Marseille.
In addition, Charles contributes academically to the legal community in Egypt as he regularly delivers lectures and sessions in universities and legal academies.
